Fairhaven Hotel

The Fairhaven Hotel

Don't you wish that this building was still around?!! This beautiful structure was built by the Fairhaven Land Company. The building was about 90% complete when this photo was taken. The building was finished in September, 1890. It cost around $200,000 to build. Mr. C.X. Larrabee bought the hotel.

The base of the building was 100 feet by 100 feet. The sandstone chunks at the bottom probably came from the Chuckanut quarries of Captain Roeder and the bricks were made in Bellingham.
